click here Green Frogs are another common species in metro Atlanta. Their calls sound like a twangy banjo string, or a throaty 'chunk' sound which can be heard throughout the summer. They can be distinguished from the Bullfrog by the presence of a dorso-lateral ridge that runs down the back of the frog on each side, from the eye to the hip.
